Fantastic tribute to your ancestors and heritage. Great journaling and placement! There is supposed to be Mandan in my family, but I have absolutely no records of where to find anything! Follow it through and keep scrapping! Awesome!
What an awesome historical page you have created Fran!!! I am so glad that your hubby can find information about his Native American heritage....I love everything on this page..
This is just FANTASTIC! I DON'T know HOW I overlooked these lo's, but there were days that I wasn't able to get on this site, so those probably were the days. I'm so glad I saw them now! Wonderful lo's!
This is a stunning page Fran..love the beautiful embellies and your little cross-stitches, but the design is gorgeous and I love how you scrapped the subject. :)
WOW FRan!!!! I had to enlarge this to read the journaling!!!! I bet your dh loves this!!!! Awesome work, my friend! btw, if you had followed the Lewis & Clark trail further west you would have passed just a few miles from my house!!
It sent shivers down my back to read your journeling! How wonderful for you to get to know your husbands family history, and of course for him as well. This is amazing!! and such a wonderful tribute to history and family!!!
oh such an interesting story,,and your husband must and should be very proud of his heritage..great fotos and how special is this...a very awesome design and details
This is really creative and totally, 100% AWESOME, Fran. The primitave stitching looks so good, and so does the arrowheads, feathers and beads at the bottom. Chief Four Bears would be proud to be honoured in this heritage layout.
Very cool layout! It is a wonderful complimentary second page to your previously posted layout. The frame, textures, stitching, ribbon and journaling all look great on this masculine piece of Four Bears heritage.
Page 2 of our trip to ND while tracing my husband's Native American heritage. I added a little journaling and hope that it is able to be viewed when enlarged, for those who might be interested. (Inspired by Rock Mom.) Thanks to Lost Coast Scrapper for the ribbon, perfect for this LO, and to Paris Dame for the arrowheads from her "ugly paper". Also, thanks to Mrs. Bean for the 2-layer frame, cut with her Cricut cartridge, and for the use of her border punch. (I enjoyed spending scrapbooking time with you.) Several different textures and layers were used here, distress inks for added detail. I added simple hand stitching, some beads and glitter dots for contrast. Thanks to all who view my LO and leave a comment. Much appreciated. TFL
