My sons name is Elijah and he is 3 years old, so I thought it would be fun to use a backwards “3” to represent his first initial.

Journaling:
Numbers. You love them. You love to look for them, read them, count them, and you are even starting to add them. If I push you in the cart too fast down the grocery aisle you get upset, because you like to read the price signs. While I do enjoy a balanced checkbook, this love of numbers is not something we share. No, this number thing is from your Daddy. He’s always loved numbers too. Growing up on a farm, your Daddy spent lots of hours sitting in a tractor cab. To pass time, for fun, he would figure out cube roots and multiply two four digit numbers together―in his head! I think Daddy will be helping with your math homework! Even though I don’t share your numerical love, I’m proud of you! You are so smart and love to learn. I just know you will do great things!
