Wow! Beautiful. The doily idea was great. Love how you've inked the background papers as well. And the sign post and corner flourish do indeed look antiquated now.
Yes the doilies are awesome with it! I have a similar pic I'm trying to do justice to for my parents 50th. I'm doing their parents too. Thanks for the inspiration!
The pearls wrapped around the sign post are so delicate and stunning ... the colors are really REALLY R*E*A*L*L*Y pretty together and that picture (which is my favorite) is simply precious!
WOW!!!! not only a gorgeous layout but her dress is totally gorgeous.. I can imagine back then that was a pretty penny!! I love how you finished your Twiddleybitz pieces great work.. I'm going to have to figure out that metal look. Great work Kelly!!!

these so much i just love about this LO, the sign post and the pearls on the sign post, the way it looks like the paper has been torn open with the doolies, wow so much work has been put into this.
Not sure how I missed this amazing piece. Wow a FAV. Utterly and positively an amazing LO. Every detail is inspirational and executed with such great technique. a FAV. That chippie is outstanding. Love the doliies too.
Wow Kelly, this is beautiful, Elegant, the colors are bright yet soft at the same time. Hope to see more, I am learning a lot from people like you, thankyou for sharing. Linda
I love this page and I am scraplifting this one for sure, I would like to know what is the name of that post with the sign? I am having trouble finding it? Can you help me with more details...
this is stunning! Such beautiful details! I love the pearls around the post and the photo corners. The photo is priceless. And the ruffle across the bottom....well what screams romantic vintage wedding more than a precious ruffle! I love it!!!!!!
What a lot of work-and does it show! Lovely combo colors and design is awesome. Love the doilies and misting too. That is a great photo and love the black sign and pole! What lovely ribbon you used. I think the pearls are the perfect finishing touch! FAV! jen
Absolutely stunning layout Kelly! The photo is just gorgeous and I love all the beautiful details. The signpost looks so beautiful with the pearls wrapped around it and the doilies folded back are so pretty! Love it!!
Wow Kelly.. you did a fantastic job.. I sure like those dust Attic pieces.. the LSS doesn't have that many of duty attic pleases.. is is alittle disappointing.. I would have to hit the big city, but with these CRAZY weather.. -33.. to freeze rain in 24 hours.. or the snow that almost buried our deck.. I usually stick to the park....
I know the picture is black and white.. but do you know what color her flowers were?? The dress is gorgeous, I wonder how much she paid for that back in "59 lol call me curious!!.
what a treasure to own this photo, Kelly. I like the doilies and delicate die cut in the bg. I have never seen the Twiddleybitz...reminds me of Dusty Attic pieces. The ruffles are gorgeous, and so is the rhinestone. This page will make a fabulous addition to your family album, and a great heritage page for your children! NICE~
so nice to see another masterpiece from the AMAZING kelly. It's vintage, it's elegant, it's romatic, it's GORGEOUS. Everything you would expect of a wedding lo and much much more. A TRUE TREASURE - TFS.
Now I know that I have a huge back log of galleries to visit but I can't believe I missed this! You always blow me away Kelly. Love Love Love it! All of it acutally! Of course you had to scrap it what a gorgeous picture! Just love the bling flower!!
Well done! xx
Awesome!! I love everything about it!! The circle with doilies is fantastic!! I am planning to scrap one of my parents' wedding photo to frame as a 50th anniversary gift... may I lift this fabulous design?
i love that you scrapped your husbands parents! and awesome that you used your doily from dinner! :) This is beautiful! I love all of the stunning details!
Gorgeous page Kelly! Love the colors and the chipboard pieces look amazing! The doilies look fabulous and you scrapped this beautiful photo perfectly! A fav for me!
Our wait has been richly rewarded!! What a stunning heirloom LO, Kelly! The technique with the folded doilies is beautiful and I absolutely LOVE the way you distressed the chipboard pieces - they look like old verdigris wrought iron!!! Plus, the fact that the company is called Twiddleybitz is perfect, makes me giggle every time, Twiddleybitz, hehe. sigh, I am too easily amused. The pearls wrapped around the signpost is the final, romantic touch in a gorgeous LO!!!
Do these names sound German or what?!?! lol! These are my hubby's parents, however, his mother passed away 14 years ago. Since I completed wedding lo's for my parents and myself, I wanted to create one for their wedding photo as well. I worked on this page while on a scrapbook weekend retreat back in November. When we ate at a local restaurant and were served some meals with doilies, inspiration struck and I designed this circular opening with the doilies tucked underneath and folded over. I've seen Gerry V. Gent use a similar technique with the paper scalloped and folded over (thanks Gerry!). The bg pp and the top layer of pp are both solid cream with embossed patterns of flowers, so I used distress inks to color them. My lss owner was able to get some Twiddleybitz pieces (the sign post and corner scroll), which I misted, painted and stickled, trying for the "antique" look. I made the flower simply by spiralling the ruffled MME ribbon and adding a TC bling centre. Thank you so much for looking and leaving comments...I seem to have less time to spend here at sb.com these days (and less scrappy time at home!) but I always enjoy browsing the galleries when I have a chance, and continue to be inpsired by all the talent here!
