I used several techniques to create this layout.

I started with a basic sketch and added embellishments. I started by making the entire layout on the Design Studio.

After cutting out the 5 papers around the photo I matted them. First I matted them with a lighter green cardstock then decided I wanted something darker to contrast with the background paper, so I added a darker green cardstock. I attached that entire piece to the background paper.

GRUNGEBOARD:
For the Grungeboard, I painted it with White Acrylic paint. I used a paint brush instead of the paint dabber because I wanted a very smooth surface. I needed it to be if I was going to emboss it. Next, I inked it with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Then came the embossing with the bubbles folder. To finish it off, and to make the embossed areas stick out, I took the ink pad and placed it right on the Grungeboard and rubbed it back and forth. Let it dry or you could use a heat gun. I attached it using Glossy Accents.

THE 2 FLOWERS:
I used 2 cloth-like flowers and colored them to match my layout.

Before coloring them, I took my Cling, “Friend's” stamp and inked it with Black StazOn ink pad. With the rubber part facing up, I laid the flower face down on the friend's stamp. I then took my roller and rolled over the flower. Just once is fine. I repeated it with the other flower.

Then I took my Adirondack Alcohol Inks to color both flowers. It only takes 2-3 drops per pedal. It absorbs and spreads into the flower. I colored a white button with the same Eggplant ink. I used Glossy Accents to keep it in place. I used pop-dots to keep the flower in place. I added them where the pedals begin.

THE TITLE:
I had to add the lettering next so I could fit in the Heart.

I used the Storybook cartridge. I used the “Serene” Core'dinations paper as the back layer and purple dots cardstock for the top layering.

THE HEARTS:
There are 2 chipboard pieces to this heart. There's an entire heart and them an outline of one. I used a technique that I use on my candle holders. I took Decoupage glue and applied it to the bottom layer heart. Then I apply torn up little pieces of Mulberry paper. You can use the paint brush to pick them up you don't have to use your fingers. You don't need glue all over them. Usually I add another layer of glue on TOP of the Mulberry paper but I didn't on this one. If there are some fibers on the edges of the heart you won't even see it. For the purple heart I did exactly the same but this time I DID add a layer of glue on top of the Mulberry paper. To finish the piece I added a metal word “Bliss” in the center. I applied it with Glossy Accents.

The last couple of things I did was to add a scalloped border punch around the layout and added a couple heart gems like photo corners.
