Beautiful lo! I love it. My Aunt lived in Little Rock for a while, and now lives in SC with the retirement of my Uncle. I send her pics of snow often, but had to laugh when she complained of ice this year instead of being blessed with snow. They both grew up in OH, and after living the majority of her life in the South, she still doesn't understand the "closing of everything" when a few flakes fly. They ended up with 4" of snow, and 4 day off of school in a row because of it... lol. Anyway, great lo, great embellishments, and papers. Love the design too. TFS.
Your snowmen are so stinkin' CUTE! On the close up I saw the white sparkle! How FUN for you to have 3" of snow down there! I lived in NC a short time and had to laugh when they closed EVERYTHING down for a dusting of snow. My kids wish it could be like that here!
I didn't take him inside, I have an old vintage chair in my front flower bed, and an old aluminum bucket that I plant flowers in that sits on it. I built the snowman in the bucket outside. The other guy is on the porch.
Photos from earlier this month, when we got about 3 inches of snow in the Little Rock area. I apologize for the poor photo quality, it was overcast today. I'll try to retake tomorrow when it's sunny. I used plain white cardstock, and misted with Tattered Angels - Bubbles, which isn't picking up in the photo, but under light adds a nice suble glimmer like snow glistening. Old mulberry paper scrap worked nicely here, was going to use it on a layout at a recent retreat and didn't, so it was kicking around my desk, and rather than put it up, I used it! Boy I'm lazy today. Had fun popping up my title for some dimension and just a smidge of accent stitching on both pages. New K & Co border strips were on clearance. Had to have those yesterday as well as some adhesive. Sanded the too shiny brads to distress, and inked them with some TH pumice and added the bling center. Used the pumice ink to take the new off the paper too, and to pick up the dark blues and greys in the guys clothing and showing through the snow. We rarely get deep snow down here in central Arkansas, and there are usually some thin spots where the ground shows...
