Totally love this!!! I love how you printed the lyrics on the background paper and how you did the title. Many thanks to you and your DH for your sacrifices!!
This is one very inspiring layout... as soon as I saw it, I was awe strucked... I love the paper and the incorporation of the lyrics of the song. I too, have a husband in the military and there's a possibility of deployment in the horizon... I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers
Love this!! I used this paper with the lyrics for my son too!! Great song and paper! I love the layering under the picture!
You and your family will be in my thoughts - my son leaves for deployment at the end of Feb.
I love the half circle and title work, beautiful page and the lyrics, I know it's hard having our guys leave no matter how many times they have gone before. Praying for his safe return.
Celina...what a great page...I love that background paper. I am so sorry to hear that he will leaving AGAIN! Just let him know that his efforts are so much appreciated for helping to keep us safe and a FREE country...he's out their defending us and those that are less fortunate. Hugs!
I'm so sorry he has to leave you and serve our country another time in Iraq. Military families are the best.....such sacrifice. Proud of you and your hubby! My hubby served in the 1st Gulf War. May you and yours endure and be strong...and your hubby be safe!
So absolutely beautiful and awesome - in every way, my friend. This is just wonderful and gives me chills. Please thank him for his service to our country and thank YOU, too. I will keep him in my prayers, my friend!
I used Twisted Sketches #085 sketch for this page although I did not use the twist of using white. This is my husband. I created this page to commemorate a new deployment. He will be leaving to Iraq again very soon. The journaling on the side is the lyrics to American Soldier by Toby Keith:
I'm just trying to be a father, Raise a daughter and a son, Be a lover to their mother, Everything to everyone. Up and at 'em bright and early, I'm all business in my suit, Yeah, I'm dressed up for success from my head down to my boots, I don't do it for the money, there's bills that I can't pay, I don't do it for the glory, I just do it anyway, Providing for our futures, my responsibility, Yeah I'm real good under pressure, being all that I can be, And I can't call in sick on Mondays when the weekend's been too strong, I just work straight through the holidays, And sometimes all night long. You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door, Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey I'm true down to the core, And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price, I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice, Oh, and I don't want to die for you, But if dying's asked of me, I'll bear that cross with an honor, 'Cause freedom don't come free. I'm an American Soldier, an American, Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand. When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right. I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight. American Soldier, I'm an American Soldier.
Yeah, an American Soldier, An American. Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand, When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right, I'm out here on the front lines, so sleep in peace tonight.
American Soldier, I'm an American, American, American Soldier.
