This is the last of my four LSS teaching projects for February.
The photo is of my dad's parents, taken at a family reunion in the summer of either 1963 or 64. I absolutely adored my Grandmother. I miss her every single day.
I was scrambling for a title for this layout earlier (I don't put titles on my teaching projects simply because it leaves more freedom for my students to select photos for their own layouts). I went to the resources section and found this quote, "When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure," and just like that, this layout was titled.
I printed the (white) butterflies on a 7Gypsies patterned paper scrap before I cut them out. I wasn't sure it would WORK, but it looks like it did. The big pink flower is, of course, the TH tattered floral die. I'm getting a ton of mileage out of that one!
Nothing really fancy here - just some cut work out of a beautiful Pink Paislee paper and a couple of other patterned papers to go with it. The black paper is Crate Paper from the new Restoration collection line. The yellow check is from Girls Paperie. I did a little shine with some stickles, added a painted flourish, and called it good to go.
Does this project or one of it's images contain pornography, profanity, or other illegal or offensive material? If so, please report it and our moderators will come by and clean it up in a flash.
