My husband was diagnosed with a very extreme case of hypothyroid back in the late 90's. The doctor called him a walking billboard for it, and had he not gone in when he did - he would have been dead within five years. So every once in a while I get a little catch in my breath and just appreciate. I appreciate that we've been able to have four children and I'm grateful that he's here for them and me.
