This is a little toile rosebud tree that I made before Christmas....a present for moi'! LOL. Wish I knew who made the one that I saw at my local scrapbook store, "The Crafty Scrapper". When I saw the display, I fell in love with it and decided to make one for myself....it was very easy, but time consuming! Went to the quilt store and bought four different patterns in my color scheme. One of them was a small toile pattern. Covered part of the styrofoam cone with the toile and pinned it in place. Only covering part of the cone with rosebuds adds interest and the viewer can see the pretty scene on the toile. Then, I cut the fabric into 4"X 4" squares, and folded one of the squares in half. Folded that half into thirds (lengthwise) and rolled up from one end to look like a little rosebud. Held each little bud in place with a pin and squeesed a tiny bit of glue under the rose to make it permanent.
