A few days ago I was chatting on the phone with my mom (who lives on the other side of the country) and happened to mention that I was planning on making my Valentine's Day cards myself this year. She seemed really happy about this (sweet mom that she is, she loved my homemade Christmas card), so I asked her what colours she'd like on her card.
She thought for a moment and said, “You've got to have pink...and red, they're Valentine's classics! Ohhh, and also purple, because I love purple!”.
While red and purple can at times be tricky to pair well, I gave the request some contemplation and decided it could easily be done so long as either the purple or the red was included only in a small dose (in this case the metallic foil looking acetate piece that says “Happy Valentine's Day).
I think this cheerfully hued card meets the colour criteria, and I really hope my mom and step-dad enjoy it.
~ Heartfelt thanks for checking out my card. Any questions about this creation, please don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a blissfully creative day! ~
