I enjoyed reading your description....how lovely to do a joint LO with your friend! the chair, whilst it is 'not my thing,' is amazing!!fabulous photos & wonderful LO with lots of great details.
I've done several pages on this museum from our summer day trip with friends in Dallas to Ft. Worth. This is the last layout of that event, though I still have about 2/3 of that vacation album to work on and will mix it in with my regular family album layouts through the next month or two.
The tag I used is kind of a round robin tag, my friend, Debbie, made it and sent it to me, and I added a few finishing touches to make it perfect for this layout. I love that our two families went to this event, and we are both scrapping it in our own styles, but I have a little of her love on my pages! She showed me how to do the mini flip album thing over the summer. I put the remaining good photos in there and you can flip through them outside the page protector. It was a new thing for me, and I love it. For trips and big events, scrap your very fav and best photos, and put the good photos in one of these little flip things... Cool Idea To Me!
My fav photo is the long horn cow chair. My friend and I just had to laugh at this "Texas" style... Just think some poor woman had to have this thing in her den because her rich cattle baron husband loved it and thought it was stylish! We have deer horn furniture in Arkansas, but not in my house for sure! LOL Post card from the gift shop. Some choice scraps including that DCWV trunk scrap that has been waiting for just the right layout. Used some new Magic Mesh I ordered. All in all, a fun layout.
