I took some photos of my neighbor's sunflowers to maybe use for POD in 2009. This is one of those shots.

This is for:
1) Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 1 (a December '10 PageMap) -- The twist was to leave negative space.

2) Monochromatic Challenge Week 1 -- Those of us in the northern hemisphere were to use LIGHT BLUE, the inspiration being the cold temps in February, but I ended up using the color for a summer pic. I hope it's light enough blue - it actually photographed a little darker than it is IRL. My neutral colors are white & gray. The twist was "Looking out my backdoor" -- I could see the sunflowers in my neighbors' backyard from my backdoor.

3) Negative Space Challenge -- I did the twist to have stitiching on the LO - I machine stitched the frame around the photo and hand sewed on the buttons.

The flowers were white & ivory originally. I sprayed them with Blueberry Shake Memory Mist and Hydrangea, Pearl, & Marshmallow Glimmer Mists trying to get a color I liked. The pp is from the DCWV Winter Wonder Stack - they were the perfect blue, and I found some patterns that didn't have any snowflakes on them. The edges are all inked in Baby Blue. I cut around some of the petals in the pic to make it pop out. I wrote the date and doodled a border around the LO with my clear Stardust pen.

TFL!
