I love the paper you used in the circle, the punch work, the journaling, the title, and the quote. We had the same experience once with an on-line booking, except that it was circa 1970. (I doubt it had been cleaned since then either. LOL)
LOL....love the humor, fun take on the title!!!! The scrapbooker that you are made you take that photo of the 'worst' cabin...tee hee...a girl after my own heart, as I would have done the same thing!
Wow...thank goodness you were able to find something better and that someone was very helpful to you! Love the sketch you used and that paper is perfect!
Yeah...there's "rustic" and then there's RUSTIC~ LOL! Definitely a better choice with the second cabin. Great way to scrap what was probably not a "happy" moment in the trip! (and the quote couldn't be more perfect! LOL!)
I used a Basic Grey sketch by Kelly Goree and rotated it to work with my photos. I also changed the placement of the journaling because I needed more space.
Journaling: After seeing the cabin I had reserved online, we told the owner that is was more "rustic" than we had anticpated (probably built circa 1960 & never upgraded) and we would look for another place to stay. She curtly advised that we would forfeit our deposit. A helpful desk clerk at the Best Western made a few calls and recommended some new cabins at a campground a few miles from West Yellowstone. Not only were they new, the rates were better than the "rustic" one in town.
Quote: (opening lines of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities) "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
