I chose to keep this LO symmetrical because of the relationship between the two temples, both found in Kyoto. I love to create moods with my choice of colors and textures, and since it was raining while we were there, I kept the papers misty-looking and subdued. I used transparent lettering to name each....Ginkakuji, refers to the Silver Pavilion, and Kinkakuji refers to the Golden Pavilion. I used the cricut cartridge Pagoda for the temple shapes, and embossed an oriental design and then sanded the temple mats to bring out the texture. Rub ons and embellishments were added to create a little layering, although it's pretty minimal on this one.
