I love this picture of you two: so innocent and happy and full of adventure. I went outside to see what you were up to. I am glad I took my camera even if you were both where you shouldn’t have been - playing in the water. I couldn’t even tell you to get out of it until I had taken plenty of pictures. You were both so fascinated by the fact that where there wasn’t a creek the day before, there suddenly was one today. You threw your beanie babies in the water and fished them out. You watched the water flow out of the pipe into the ancient tub and on into the creek bed. You tried to get our dog Houston to go into the deepest parts of the creek to get him as wet as possible. You came in with soaked shoes and jeans, but you both were having the time of your life playing in that creek. It was the perfect reminder that this is what childhood SHOULD be about.
