Fourth of July, 2007 -- It was a weird weather day in the Northwoods this year. It was brutally hot while we were waiting for the parade. We were in our usual spot in front of the Rusty Nail with the Olsons and Paul Conway, and we had both dogs with us. Not long after the parade got underway, a torrential downpour started. It was crazy. The river that formed along the curb almost washed away my purse. Then, as soon as the parade ended, the sun came back out, and we were able to spend the rest of the day in the lake.
I embossed and sanded Coredinations cs for the color blocks. The title, clouds, raindrops and sun were cut on my Cricut. The clouds are mounted with 2 different heights of foam tape. The journaling is printed on vellum. The Statue of Liberty sticker says 2007 on it -- I've had it all this time and felt like I had to use it. I'm OCD that way.
