These are pictures of my son during SCA Youth Combat at Pennsic. This was his first year participating in the program and he was a real trooper. He was up before most of the camp and on the field fighting in 80 degree weather wearing full armor. As with most of my scrapbooking pages, my children are always eager to contribute. My son drew the dragon and I copied it onto the different colored papers to piece together. The castle is also paper piecing. I used distressing ink and chalk to give it the texture and coloring. Turning the Karen Foster "dragonscales" paper into hills was a lot of fun :) Journaling: There I Was... Zachary, we were so proud of you getting up early & giving your all. Your enjoyment at youth combat fighting was the highlight of pennsic.
