This layout is absolutely gorgeous and the journaling is even better. I am a cat person and I can really relate to escape kitty. My kitty Chancie would love to escape outside as she spent her life before being adopted out on the street.
This page is FANTASTIC! I love all the texture going on. Great use of all the "mail items"...love that cardboard..and WOW...awesome layering! Love the burlap fibers...and fun to use as a cross over...sweet! Great layout...and awesome photo. Escape kitty...lol..love it!
You are such a character!! Love you "Escape Kitty Saga"! Such a joy to see your fun side!! Love how you used the corrugated cardboard and all the postal elements-you are brilliant! Tell kitty she can come hang out with me in Tennessee we have been in the 60's for the past week and I do have a bird-lol!!
rotglol over and over!! love your 'escape Kitty' stories!! My Sunny, Chloe' and Missy can't wait till the next plan is submitted in written form and lo form! great job...sorry kitty!!
Love the LO and keep these Escape Kitty coming, she's adorable. You could send her on vacation to England too - most cats are outdoors and no predators (the 45lb fox was unique). Hey, maybe she could start a feline Flat Stanley craze!
You know, the only time that MY escape kitty gets out is when our Postal Carrier comes to the door for me to sign for something! I LOVE the layout AND the ongoing adventures of Escape Kitty!!

Oh Jen, I just LOOOOVE all your pages but particularly those about Kitty. Your creativity is endless and so versatile! You are a great inspiration whenever my mojo has gone with the postman! xx
oh lol one very cute fun fun page of the ongoing saga of that cat wanting to escape....luv all the awesome detailing..hey he might end up here in auzzieland////lol
Escape Kitty....ohhhhh where exactly shall I start? She's a Kitty smitten with the idea of freedom and the outdoors. My fault really since I indulged her desire. But one day a coyote in my yard squelched her desires. Not me!!!! It was him that did that, Kitty - not me!!! Really! ( though she glares at me with unbelieving eyes)
Kitty is sick of our cold NY weather and tired of staying inside -like many of us are. She knows that her Grandma and Grandpa "escape" the frigid cold by spending the winter in Florida. She has even heard me use that exact terminology to describe their disappearance from NY. I've even called my parents "snow birds" which is a term used to describe people who migrate to warmer climates for the winter, just as birds would do, then fly home in the spring.
hmmmm, interesting word to use. Finally dawns on Kitty why she loves her Grandparents so much! They are birds. Snow birds. How wonderful and so special.
At any rate, she also knows that Grandma is really soft on her and the rest of the grandkids as compared to me. That means she stands half a fightin chance to get outside if only she can make it to Florida.....plus added bonus, "Snow Birds" all around her? Ohhh my goodness dreams really can come true to be free and have a flock of snow birds all about. :)
So this plan evolved as she was playing inside a box one day - and what cat or small child for that matter does not just love playing in a box? She put two and two together and voila! The mail can deliver her and no one will know!
What she failed to consider was that our postal man had severe cat allergies and returned the box to us immediately! Oh Kitty! Such a silly plan for sure. But I see you in that box.
As a side note - I highly encourage Escape Kitty to think "outside the box" for a more successful plan.
I used Dusty Attic Vintage Keys DA0392 and French Flourish Border DA0275 and the rest of the stuff is old stash stuff. The burlap fibers will be present in all Kitty LO's as my crossover piece that ties all LO's together.
Thanks for looking.... inside this box. ******** ohhhh word just in......KOBE2256 and CHEZ49 say there are NO coyotes in Australia. You should see the expression on Kitty's face to find that news out. Crazy Kitty is running about the house looking for a new postal box.
