This is a story of a quilt I received from my mom after she died. Journaling reads: When Mom died I was going through her things and found a quilt top with the bottom all ready to be sewn on it. I remembered she had told me she was making it for me, but she had never finished it. She did every piece of her quilts by hand and never used a sewing machine. I was telling a group of ladies at church and they said they would quilt it for me. So while Mom did not finish my quilt, it was finished with loving hands just as her hands has stitched the top. I had been upset because she had not had time to make me a quilt but actually it was sitting there just waiting for me to find it. I feel Mom hugging me whenever I cover up with it and it makes me smile.
