My first project for Tattered Angels this month, “Swing” is a canvas assemblage layout with “starring” altered fork. I was keeping this project in my mind since June, but I never started it - until now :)
The fork was put on the small canvas blank, which I covered with papers, collored with Glimmer Mists in shades of pink and brown: Vintage Pink, Black Cherry and Sand and a hint of Meadow Green and my favorite Black Magic. The papers were covered with glue, embellished with chipboard letters, buttons and metal objects and then sprayed and dryed.
The fork was all covered with Sugar Cane Glimmer Glaze, embellished and then extra sprayed with Glimmer Mists. The next step was adding a “swing” made of chains and a nail – a perfect one for the little Infant from Velázquez painting – and to finish the layout adding some extra color on the girl, the fork and the background – Chianti Glimmer Glaze.
I really like this assemblage and I really had great time doing it - I also hope it brought asmile on my friends' faces when they opened the box ;) It looks a bit different from my plan, bt on the other hand I've got a second, similar project appearing in my mind - and that makes me happy:)
