Yes, I agree...when I was in high school my mom had me start cooking meals several nights a week for our family as part of my chores. Which now I am glad she did because when I got married I really didn't "have to learn how to cook" because I already knew. I am very grateful for that! Very cute page!
I always love it when the kids help in the kitchen. Now that they are older they still come in the kitchen and start helping. Sometimes they just take over and tell me I can go sit down they have it. I love the fact that they will be able to cook when they move out on their own. I am glad that you do the same with your lids as they will be so much better off.
Sometimes when no one wants to play with Cheyenne, you just have to distract her. This was one of those times. No one wanted to play and Cheyenne was sad, so I asked her if she wanted to help me fix dinner. I had already mixed the meatloaf, but still had to put it in the pans to bake. I showed her how to wash her hands really good before she touched the food. I then explained to her what I had done and what we were doing. She loved helping me put the meat into the pans and squash it down then form it into loaves. She was a great Kitchen Helper.
