If you notice the hanger for this feeder, you'll see that it's kind of messy looking - I had to make it out of scrap aluminum wire I had around here. I found the feeder on the ground the day after I brought it home because one of the squirrels was mad that he couldn't get at the food so he chewed through the green hanger that came with the feeder! I thought that it had wire through it but it didn't so he made quick work of it...
The tube feeders are the only types of feeders that I can hang for the birds - without a canopy over any of the other types, the squirrels get most of the food, not leaving any for the birds!
