Give a Cheer
My DD and future SIL - from their official engagement photo shoot. First of all, thank you Donna (Dnurse) for the pretty die cut background pp - it was perfect for these photos. I made all the flowers and leaves. I really liked them, but I think I need practice on flower arranging - sort of looks like I just "THREW" them up there - lol. Journaling - "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This was their 3rd appointment for the photo shoot!!
In my DD's words "We scheduled our engagement photos a few days before Thanksgiving with our lovely photographers. Tut tut, looks like rain. Forecast was calling for a 50% chance of rain. So we postponed. It never rained. The second try was scheduled a week before Christmas. Rained out again. This time it actually poured. California drought? Just scheduled a photo shoot… instant rain. Third time’s the charm. Right? Sure! No rain for the last 3 weeks. Temps in the upper 70s. I checked my weather app the night before the shoot. What’s this? Sunday = ball of sun with little raindrops. Seriously? So I check the hourly forecast. No rain till the afternoon. Phew. So we show up at our location with clouds in the sky. (Perfect lighting for an outdoor photo shoot according to our professional friends). Location #1 in outfit #1 goes perfectly. Time to get changed and head across the street to location #2. Is that a drop of water on my face? Oh no. Yup, that’s rain. And lot’s of it. Apparently we’re destined to have rain in our photos. We dodged raindrops and made the most of it and we’re super excited with our photos."
