I just wanted to play with my MFT (My Favorite Things) Die-namics. As my collection slowly grew, I realized I had all the makings of a cute little scene. Of course I had to add my favorite MFT friend, Flopsey.
The scene uses the MFT sun, clouds, tree, grass, and rolled flowers (I ended the flowers about 1/2 way so they stayed smaller). I inked over the tree die and wiped away the excess before cutting (which embosses at the same time), which made the wood rings in the tree stand out better). I also cut two trees and popped one over the other for dimension. The leaves are "nestled" between the two trees. The grass was done similarly...one layer popped over the first one slightly lower, with Flopsey "tucked" in between.
The kite and rock are paper-pieced, and Flopsey is colored with Copics. I ran a piece of thread from the loop in Flopsey's hand up the the bottom of the kite and secured on the back of the card for the kite string.
I haven't decided on a sentiment yet, but it will have plenty of room on the inside when I am ready to use the card. For now, it's a little piece of art that makes me happy gracing my desktop.
