Give a Cheer
Madeleine at my cousin's wedding this past summer where she was a flower girl. As you can see, she was a little in awe of everything else around her! LOL!
We bought her a new dress and shoes for the event and of course after about 10 mins. of arriving at the hall, she was complaining that her shoes were hurting her. Fortunately, I had thought to pack her regular sandals 'just in case' but she was so upset that she wouldn't look right that she wasn't going to walk down the aisle! There I was waiting at the front while my husband was trying to coax her at the back. As luck would have it, the bride leaned down and told Madeleine that she was counting on her to do a good job laying down the petals and Madeleine ended up going down the aisle...in bare feet! I didn't care; I was just so thankful that she made it down!! We spent quite some time practising and she was mortified that we expected her to step on the petals, so if you look carefully at the pics, you'll see that she was dropping the petals behind her so she wouldn't have to step on them! LOL!
The little beaded flowers with blue bead centres on the layout are actually the little flowers that I made for her to wear in her hair that day. It was nice to be able to preserve them by incorporating them in the layout.
As usual, I had difficulty getting a straight pic...
