My brother and I went skiing Feb 2011 a week after the big 31 inch snowfall that hit the MidWest. I only got 1 photo of me because it was so cold there was no way my brother was going to take his 2 layers of gloves off for each picture. 3 days of frigid weather.

I started by cutting out 2 circles in Bo Bunny paper. There sizes are 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 inches. Next as you can see in the sketch I needed 3 strips of paper. One I made from Paper Frills. It's the scalloped piece. I didn't have blue embossing powder so I stamped snowflakes on it with Adirondack Sail Blue ink pad and put clear embossing on it. It gives a nice shine instead of leaving it naked. I also used a ink dabber to add the same ink to the top, bottom and sides.

The one on top of that is a sticker ribbon by K and Co. Then a light blue country crackle paper which I made darker with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I added dimension to the photographs. I use foam sheets cut to the size I need. Saves a lot of money on my end.

Then, I took K and Co. snowflakes which were a very light blue. I darkened them again with Faded Jeans. I added a lot. The design on the snowflakes acted as a resist which was nice. It looks like I used Broken China after taking a picture of it but I didn't. It already had some dimensional adhesives I added a little more for the small snowflake you see above. I also added 3 on the top left of the layout.

The chipboard were the last to be done. I used Adirondack Alcohol ink Stonewash on the S-K-I. And also on the H-I-L-L. On the hill I added some Brilliance Moonlight White ink using a paint dabber.

It was fun.........havn't done a ski layout in a really long time.

Thanks!
Heather
