Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Talk about a lucky day! I am still in complete shock. This morning I went to the hospital for a blood pregnancy test to rule out what *wasn’t* wrong with me. I was sure that I wasn’t pregnant, and I was ready to call my doctor back and inform him of that so we could move onto the next step of figuring out what was wrong with me. After lunch I called the lab at the hospital to get the results. I gave the technician my name and test #. “Positive,” she said. “WHAT?!” I exclaimed. Again, she said it was positive. I was confused. “For Heather Taylor? Are you sure?”
Of course I immediately cried ((okay fine.... bawled) and said a quick prayer of gratitude. I had to call Scott about 8 times before he finally picked up the phone... he asked what was wrong and I said, “I’m pregnant.” He was shocked too, to say the least. And confused, just as I am. And here I sit, 3 hours later, still completely dumbfounded. Things really don’t add up and don’t make much sense, but I don’t care. I’ll take it!
I’m extremely nervous about this, and almost scared to be excited, as I’m afraid of having my heart broken again. But for the time being, I’m going to enjoy this incredible feeling..... my sweet baby, I’m so excited to meet you. What a lucky day indeed.
