This LO is about my alma mater, Notre Dame, and the school alma mater, Notre Dame Our Mother. One of my former roommates took these pics last year when she was back for a visit, and I nabbed them off her facebook page. The bottom pic is taken from an upper floor of the library -- something I'm always too lazy to go and do, so thanks, Kristy ;)

This is for:
1) March Monochrome Challenge Week 5. We were to choose a color that makes us think of spring -- I chose navy blue. An odd choice, I'm sure most people would think, but navy goes with white to me, and makes me think of crisp nautical themed clothes, which always start turning up in the spring. Also, I had a spring wedding (at Notre Dame), and my bridesmaids' dresses were navy and white. The twist was to include some Irish lore or folktale. I have a leprechaun on my page.

2) March Use Your Supplies Week 3 - We had to use 2 colors of paint on our LO. The twist was to use a household item to stamp or spread paint on the LO. I used gold on two of the flowers and the leprechaun, and I used a wine glass charm to stamp the little circles in blue in the upper and lower right corners.

I printed the lyrics on vellum in the font Abbeyline. I printed an image of the leprechaun, cut it out, painted it gold, and then applied glossy accents.
