Journaling: 19-Tonight was the supermoon when the moon was closer to the earth than it will be for another 18 years. Don got a wild hair, and we headed for the beach to get the best view.

20-Some of Katie and Sam’s treasures from the arcade machines at the condo where we spent the night. They LOVE this junk.

21-This week’s recipe was Best-Ever Scones, the chocolate-cherry variety. I love the description of scones as glorified biscuits -- music to my Southern ears.

22-I’m not sure what these purple flowers are in our front yard, but they eventually fade to white on the bush.

23-Karen and I helped out at DP today to prepare for FCAT -- lots of bubbling going on to get ready for the big test.

24-The peeps are here and ready for their closeup. Although they’re not my favorite Easter candy -- that would be jellybeans -- it’s hard to resist their springy colors.

25-My honey turned 64 today -- how did that happen? Matthew took the family to dinner at the Garden Grove at the Swan hotel. Rafiki stopped by to congratulate the birthday boy.
