SHCG: you're still the reigning queen of deco scissors :) LOL love this page also, those glasses are amazing, love how you put the pictures inside them! :)
SHCG: In some ways, I feel we were even more creative in our early scrapbooking days. I love your handmade embellies, and the wine glasses from the magazines are a cool way to feature those photos. I wish there was less of the blue margin on the right and more of that wine glass, instead. I'd like to see the flag mounted with two brads and then on a board of wood going across from the left of the page to the purple mat. Looks like a place I'd like to go for a few drinks, and some fun people to enjoy them with.
SHCG - Great blast from the past! I adore the embellies you made - the fruit slices, glasses & flag! Very cool how you made the right glass look transparent the way it overlaps the pic. I'm digging the deco edges as I'm sure you still do, ha. I could see making the "z" bigger on the flag (like the actual flag seen in 1 of the pics) & I of course could see adding journaling, or at least names & dates (unless they already appear somewhere in the book). Festive LO!
Love tha cocktial glass with hand included! I still have a coulpe of folders full of magazine cut outs tucked away somewhere. How awesome to learn you're not the only one. Thanks for sharing Lisa!
Blast from the Past. So what was scrapbooking like 10 years ago? Here are some examples from the “good old days”.
Pattern papers were MUCH simpler back then. These papers came in a paperback 12 x 12 book. Plain cardstock was also very bright in color. We make our own embellishments. Here I cut out the wine glasses from a magazine ad, made the lime & lemon wedges and made the "Z" flag. Don't you just love all of the deco scissors edges?
