My Dad (on the left) and his friend in the Canadian Air Force in England, 1946. So funny to see him in this photo with a smoke in his mouth as he quit smoking when I was about 13. His nickname in the air force was "Smokey" and it stuck with him until he passed away in 2004. The only people who called him John was his his brothers & sisters and of course my grandparents.
