You should definitely pat yourself on the back! LOVE the "shabby chic re-do!!! I just redid the cushions on my kitchen table chairs and had NO IDEA what I was doing, but they turned out "good enough" and look a whole heck of a lot better than the off-white fabric with stains that was on there. But the best part? I think you might agree - is that I did it....I figured it out. Makes me think I can start re-painting and re-doing anything...and THAT is an awesome feeling indeed. I have a $10 dresser I got at a garage sale that I might just have to repaint now. It's been sitting in my garage forever and you've inspired me!
Hi Ghost!!! When you answer questions back on your pictures...I am not sure anyone gets them! I am just popping back to check out your room again!! It is just unbelievable!! Had to put all your pics on my 'fave' list...
Hi all! To answer a few questions, I do not have any of my layouts posted here. I am going to an away crop in June...so I should have plenty to share! I work full time and have young boys...so the ME time I get is currently at away crops :) I detailed the instructions on a few posts down. Let me know if you need anything else, or if something is unclear. Community sales, flea markets and garage sales are the absolute BEST! I love love looking at all those places for new to me treasures! I cannot wait til the summer so I can paroove the sales too!
Thank you all for your wonderfully kind compliments, they mean a lot to me.
wow what a find!!! Our community is having a huge community garage sale this weekend I'm going hunting for some stuff for my cabana!!! Which is completely painted and the hardwood floor is getting installed next weekend!!!
SERIOUSLY....THIS AREA IS AMAZING!!! I AM IN LOVE W/THAT PATTERN ON THE CURTAINS..AND LOVE BLACK AND WHITE!! I am completely jealous!!! Awwww....damn!! Enjoy the chair too!! Verry cool!
Love it! My Office Depot has a chair with very similar covering on sale for $99 this week - you got a heck of a deal! I love your curtains and the chair upholstery. It's ALL good!!!
Thanks for all the gracious compliments~ I had 3 yards of this fabric, a staple gun and determination to not sew a thing. I basically folded the fabric down and stapled the back over to the front first. I then cut the fabric. Next, I turned it over and stapled the front bottom and brought the fabric up over the seat cushion and stapled/cut it. I then did the same for each of the arms. Wah LA! I also used metal studs made for reupholstering to keep the fabric in place on the arms up the front. It is the shabby chic way I say...LOL! I also painted the legs white as they were yellowish. xoxo
