2-We don’t live on Hoenstine Avenue, but not far away. Because Don’s family had lived there so long, when the county named the road, they named it for them.
3-The family celebrated Katie’s birthday today, and we managed to get a shot with our two favorite munchkins.
4-This week’s recipe is Grapefruit-Mint Salad. Tom made a similar salad for SFS, and then I found a recipe for it in the Food Network magazine. I used grapefruit from our trees and added some strawberries -- tasty!
5-It was laundry day in preparation for my trip to New York City.
6-Modern day travel requires lots of charging -- the cell phone, the camera battery, the Kindle.
7-Karen and I flew to New York City today. It was my first real trip to the Big Apple and one of Karen’s favorite places. A must-see was the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center. It’s much smaller than I imagined.
8-The temperatures were chilly, but the tulips were magnificent.
