Chelsey's first time donating blood. Hidden journaling:
Chelsey's first exposure to donating blood was when Grandma Farmer needed units for her heart surgery in July 1995. Shortly afterward, Aunt Kara, and then Aunt Rachel started donating every time the blood bus was in town. Chelsey has been waiting and waiting for her chance to donate. During her junior year, she missed the opportunity due to problems with her wisdom teeth, and also a scheduling conflict with the blood bus. Finally, her chance came, 4/20/11, she did really well. The phlebotomist said she was a fast pumper. She felt great afteward, but by the time she got home from school, she was sick. I hope this doesn't dim her enthusiasm.
