Super duper cute. I love everything about this. A perfect design for this and perfect use of these CC papers. Great to scrap your garden. I used to garden quite a bit but haven't since the little ones came along. Your page is a good reminder for me to get at it again! There's really nothing to beat a tomatoe fresh from the garden.
AWESOME work!!!! Love your SUN & those little birds are too cute!!! Gardening is so very rewarding...... I can relate to all your journaling! And everything tastes so much better than what you get out of the grocery store! Love this Betty!
this turned out too too cute!! i may have to lift this...hopefully i won't get kicked off the site!! =p the pp's you used are perfect- i just love those little birdies! love your title work, the sun and stitching, the little cut out veggies- love it all! definitely a fave!!
This is a little different for you...but I REALLY like it!! That paper couldn't have been more perfect! Love the little bird...and the stitching on the sun looks great! Awesome layout...if you have an abundance of veggies this year, you can send me some! LOL!
This is so sweet and I just love those birds and the sun! I hope your garden grows well for you this season. We haven't had much luck with drought over the last 10 years either and now this season the drought broken and everything rotted because of too much water :( Curious as to what rutabagas are?
So cute! Love the stitched sun-rays and the birds, the music note stamps are a very nice touch! GREAT design and I love the photo! Your little veggies are just darling! I'm definitely going to stealing the title tag idea! And, I must say, your garden is looking VERY fabulous!
Journaling reads: "This is the first garden we’ve had in several years, due to lack of time and drought. We have gone all out this year, putting up new fencing, moving it out to enlarge the space, buying dirt, seeds, fertilizer, plants, tools, even some cute garden decorations and flags. We set out plants for several veggies that we’ve never grown before – broccoli, rutabagas, cabbage, cauliflower and brussel sprouts. We planted these at the end of February and so far they are thriving – even through a severe cold snap and excessive rain. As a matter of fact, I am picking broccoli to use for supper tonight! Hopefully, this year will be just the beginning of many more years of homegrown veggies..." Feb 2011
PPs are by Cosmo Cricket and the page design is based on a Pagemaps sketch. The veggies and birds are handcut from pp, inked and doodled. The little tags are punched, stamped, inked and then I cut the bottoms with deco scissors. The rays of the sun are stitched. TFL!!!
