(Tuesday Trip – April 12, 2011). We took a drive to the Observatory and had to pass thru this well known tunnel. Journal/Fun Facts: The Mount Hollywood Drive tunnel underneath the Berlin Forest in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California. This tunnel in Griffith Park has been pressed into service as a location for many movies. It was the trans-dimensional entrance to Toontown in 1983's "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” and also used in "Back to the Future 2" (1989) for an exciting car vs. hoverboard chase. Also the entrance to NORAD in "War Games" (1983). Continue on this road up to Griffith Observatory for a nice view of the Hollywood sign and the Santa Monica Mountains. April 12, 2011 tfl!
