You have poured so much emotion into these layouts--I can relate to showing emotion through visual element. You've made my heart pound. I am so impressed that you could get these done...I have a project I would love to scrapbook but it's been 6 years in the making...perhaps seeing this will give me the courage to do it!
Journaling: We had hoped to control your asthma with natural medicine, but after your last attack it was clear that would not work. Before taking you to the hospital the last time we tried the holistic approach for 24 hours - Dr. Kick even met you and Daddy at his office for a spinal adjustment on Sunday night...we also got a Hepa air purifier to use in your room. We got up every hour to make sure you were okay. Eventually we brought you into bed with us. I didn't sleep much - I just listened to your breathing. In the morning you were even worse so we took you to the E.R. After this attack we had the carpets and heating ducts cleaned. We also cleaned the curtains, walls and basement. For a year we were able to keep you out of the hospital using the Albuterol whenever you would start to wheeze. On November 6, 2004 another bad attack landed you in the E.R. We were there 6 hours - they would have kept you over night, but Daddy had just been laid off and he didn't have insurance that would cover the cost of a hospital stay anymore. The doctor let you stay in the E.R. until you recovered enough to go home. They gave you many high doses of Albuterol - so much that your body was shaking. It scared me. I wish we could control this naturally...but we realize now that isn't possible. After this attack you were put on 2 everyday medications, Pulmicort and Singulair, and we were put on the list for asthma training. We still had the Albuterol to give you in case of an attack. Photos - 1. You are getting a Pulmicort treatment, which takes 15 minutes! We would strap you into your stroller and load you up with toys to keep you still. 2. Your nebulizer and meds. 3. The mask delivers the meds better - we switched. But the mist vents bothered your eyes so, - swim goggles!
