I really thought I commented on this one before, but I don't see it. Hmm. I love the punched strip and the layering of the tags in the corner -- really delicate beautiful LO!
Beautiful layout and photo...love the pps and colors and the glitter on the butterflies. Love the title too. My dds played with Breyer horses too. I'm working on a layout called My Life as a House (never saw the movie) of my younger dd in a kindergarten play where she played...a house. lol..haven't finished it cuz I lost one of the photos.
I love everything about this, especially your porch story! Those who were fortunate to grow up playing on a porch probably can relate! (I bought my house because of the front porch which is the hang out for the neighborhood kids!)
beautiful!!!!! We did alot of playing on our front porch too! Fond memories. When I bought my house it was flat and boring across the front. It didn't take me long to beg DH to build me a big ole veranda!!!
You have a bunch of great pics and this is certainly one of them (even if you didn't have the original)! Love the vintage pp and the layering. This is so pretty!
I love this. The design is gorgeous, the picture and title is marvelous. It's so very true, that a lot of life plays out on the front porch. What a fabulous page!
My DT "Vintage" Teaching project for my LSS for May.
I loved the film Life As A House and when I saw my Aunt's posting of this photo on Facebook, I knew that I wanted to scrap it. It's not a really great photograph - a download of an upload of a scan - so I'm going to try and get the original copy from my aunt so I can scan it for myself.
The year is 1962. That's my mom, her mom, and her mom's mom on the back row. I'm on the front on the right, my sister on the left, and my aunt between us. Yes - my grandmother had a "surprise" baby late in life, so our family generations are very blended.
We lived a lot of our lives on the front porch of my grandmother's house. I guess we took about a gazillion photographs there, played Barbies and Breyer horses, ate sandwiches and drank milk... I just have a lot of fond memories of this old porch. It made me smile to remember it.
I used the Page Maps #27 - Week 2 Sketch I also completed the AGC 4-22 Decorate A Tag Daily Challenge.
The paper line is Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden. SCRUMPTIOUS stuff.
