This is for the NSD Sharpest Tool in the Shed
OK, when I started to first scrap in 2006, I bought templates with circles, squares and some odd shapes. I used to cut everything out by hand, but it was NEVER a perfect shape. I seen the cricut in 2006 and I so seriously wanted it really bad! I just couldn't get myself to buy it at the time because it was so expensive when it first came out. Meanwhile, I just keep cutting shapes and buying lots of stickers for titles..(have lots of leftovers of V's ya know?) lol When my beloved mother in law passed away in Feb 2007, it was my oldest daughter's 18th birthday! It was a super sad time and I hadn't scrapped for a few months before and after last...She didn't want a funeral, she only wanted a memorial...my sister in law decided to have it in the summer, which was several months away...that is when I decided to make a memorial book in her honor. I was trying so hard to make it so beautiful, but it was hard to do with the few templates. Then to my surprise, my husband insisted on me buying the cricut to make it as perfect as I could. I was shocked because my husband is not one to say spend a few hundred dollars? He took me to the store and bought it for me... I truly was shocked! When our family flew to Chicago for the memorial...(I live in AZ), we took my mother in laws ashes and the memorial book. The memorial ended up being very nice and not sad like a funeral. I had so many compliments from my memorial scrapbook of her...everyone wanted to steal it! I was happy that I could make something so special for my mother in law...my dear friend. I miss you so! Today, I still love my cricut and cannot live without it! Since the first cricut, I have bought the expression...but it is and will always be my favorite scrapbooking tool. I use it for almost every single scrapbook layout...probably 99% of the time. I Love you my cricut!
