This is so beautiful and so touching. I feel so sad for you fo losing your husband, but I can see from what you have written and from the picture that he was a wonderful guy and funny too! The picture cracked me up, and then when I read what you wrote, it made me sad. But what wonderful memories you have to treasure. This is a wonderful tribute to your dear hubby!
Gina this is wonderful,I bet the album you have in his memory is one of a kind. You have such a way with words, gets right to the heart strings every time. He was a character,no doubt! Love your journaling & pics.
The paper is shaped paper from Bo Bunny. The yellow background is just a piece of fabric/carpet, so ignore it, k?
This is for the NSD handwritten journaling challenge, to pic a picture and write what it means to you. This is a pic of my husband pretending to milk a stuffed animal at the Steiff factory in Germany. He passed away on September 18, 2009 at the age of 38. I am slowly but surely working my way through a memorial album.
Journaling says: Sometimes, you don't realize the thing you love the most about someone until they are no longer there to share it with you. I always knew how much I admired your sense of humor but I never realized how much I'd miss it. Our private little jokes still come to me and I say them without thought. When the punch line doesn't come back from you, it hits me again that you are gone. What a suckerpunch that is, each and every time.
The "she said, he said" journal card has three of our private jokes on it. The little happy bunny sticker says "no one every suspects me." That was so true of Rick...he played pranks all of the time and yet, no one ever thought he was the one who did it.
