Running past this one a second time - it showed up in the Lift Your Faves Challenge this month. Again, I'm so amazed by your talent, the way you think it all out and then execute it perfectly...switching the sketch to fit what you needed rather than being boxed in by the sketch. You are SO creative, Lisa!
Into my favs. This is SCRAPtastic! Love what you did with the vellum behind the pics and the colors all blend perfect the embellies are great. Truly awesome!
well if thats not the most perfect paper for a fishing layout!!! neat! Thats a good size Jack fish, they are fun cause they always give you a good fight.. Of course we never eat them... but fun to catch and pose with them too!
I'm not into fishing, but this is a very impressive page! I love the neatness of it. And it is beautifully embellished too. You did a great job with it and you always do such a great job of creating a layout to cover multiple challenges!
Oh Lisa, you are amazing! I love how you combined fishing and the loons on this page (as in real life when you are out in the boat) and terrific job with the flower!
I knew this was the sketch -- but really I love what you did with it. The mix of circles and the buttons are fab. And what a neat idea to stitch some journaling lines. Gonna have to borrow that one. Great fish!
Wow, this turned out great! Love your stickers and buttons. I like the added scalloped circles. Nice catch! That's cool you were able to fit in many different challenges.
Photos of me with a pike I caught and a common loon in its winter plumage.
Journaling: October 7, 2007 - Fishing for Northern on Forest and watching the loons -- my fave kind of day!
This is for: 1) NSD He Loves Me Challenge: The LO had to include a handmade flower embellishment. I made the flower in the lower left with a circle of cs, 3 scalloped circles punched out of vellum, and a button.
2) May Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 1. I mirrored the sketch because I wanted the species of fish I was catching to show on the pp, and there weren't any that would be visible if I put the photos on the left side of the page.
3) May Monochrome Challenge Week 4 - Emerald Green. I did the twist to use vellum -- the large mat is leaf print vellum, and the flower is made from scalloped circles punched from the same vellum.
I machine stitched a couple lines across the top, and the journaling lines in the lower left. Various circles across the middle are popped up on foam tape.
