Since I have been scrapping my grade school pics, I've been thinking a lot about my fav teacher- Mr Torres from the 7th grade. This week's challenge for the April Pages Challenge was to do a page about a special relationship. Since he was my fav teacher and made a big impact on me, I decided to do a page about him. Like a dork I started to cry when writing the letter (which is tucked inside the envie).

Journaling (Letter):
April 10, 2006
Dear Mr. Oscar Torres,
Of all the teachers I've had over the years, you are the one
that I remember the most. You are probably the youngest,
coolest teacher I've had. You made class fun and interesting
but I learned a lot too. The greatest lesson you taught me was
to care about others. Whenever you could tell somebody was
having problems, you were there to help them. You encouraged
us to volunteer in various school activities. I remember making
a LOT of peanutbutter and jelly sandwhiches to be handed out
to the homeless. No matter what, you treated us more like your
equals and touched everybody's heart. When the school year
came to an end I wrote you a thank you letter. You told me
that that was the first time any student had done that. Although
I don't remember what I wrote then, the memory of you being so
touched by my little gesture is something I will remember and
treasure forever. It was the least I could do for you after all you
had done for me.
Now, thirteen years later, I am writing you another letter. This
one you may never see but I mean it with all my heart. I know
that where ever you are, you are touching more people's hearts
and minds. Even if you don't feel appreciated, please remember
me- Tina, St. Hugh class of 1993.
Sincerely,
