A 2pager from our easter cruise --- with a day excursion into Livingston, Guatemala. The left is the rural areas -- the right is the city.
Jouranling reads " We spent our day in Guatemala with "go with gus". We toured around Livingston & it's rural areas. Small children paddled up to the boat selling their goods. "Five Dollars" seemed to be the price of everything. One little girl seemed to pop right up out of the water, she scared me to death. I screamed thinking it was an alligator or somethin. A bit embarassing.
Livingston was extremely depressed in my opinion. Hot, humid, dirty, & smelly. The stray dogs broke my heart, so many were pregnant & they were all so thin. I really appreciate my washer & dryer after watching the women do their laundry in the center of town.
Brendan & I enjoyed our day, but were very happy to get back on teh boat and say good-bye to guatemala."
