This is a 12x12 attached to a canvas. To create the effect of a painting, and so my uncle can hang it to the wall. I was inspire by Amy. (work4ever)I used paper from DCWV the Once upon a time stack. All of the items where distressed, On the white stripes I inserted the pledge of allegiance. I did that on PS 4. And since he is from the island of PR, some typical items of the culture can be observed in the top middle. That is a dimensional sticker. In the right hand side..you can barely identify because is blurred, but that is actually a button of my own ROTC, class A uniform. I gave him that as a memorabilia item. I had rip some areas of the paper and distressed it. The canvas was covered in brown with acrylic paint. I added some die cuts, made with my Slice machine. When he saw it he was soooo happy and honored to have someone in the family for the first time recognizing his contribution as a soldier in Vietnam. I have many others relatives who are veterans of war, but Noel is my fav. one and this is how I told him so. We are proud of you uncle Noel. XOXO
