How wonderful! I started to collect miniatures once upon a time, but never went very far with it. I hope you have lots of people who appreciate it and all the work that has gone into it. This should be a family heirloom.
Oh My Gosh, how adorable, i hope you have loads of family to pass these treasures on to, to pass on to and so forth. How beautiful to have such a treasure trove of handmade love :)
Oh Wanda those are gorgeous houses!!! What treasures in there - I love miniatures I wish I could drop by and see those LOL!!! What a special thing to have pieces your mom made too, just "WOW".
Wonderful addition to the scraprooom! My father created a dollhouse for me during the 70's that was made to look like the house I grew up in. He used remnants from the actual carpet they put down in the house when they built it. This picture reminds me that I need to get that dollhouse the next time I go to visit my parents! Thanks for sharing!
Just incredible... I too was once crazy for minatures... Currently have 3 doll houses... Great idea displaying them in the scrap room... may have to do the same. Thanks for sharing. You mother was a true artisan...
This is the other side of my scraproom. I have been a miniature collector for many years. It was once my passion but has been replaced! The shelf on the far side holds all of the miniature furniture that my mother built in the early 1960's. It's amazing the amount of detail that she managed to create with old wood, hammers and nails. She did not have any of the modern miniature materials that can be bought today. The refrigerator actually has tiny ice trays for goodness sake!!!
