For some reason, I have a ridiculous amount of pictures and stuff to save from Cassie's year in 5th grade -- too much stuff to do LO's for each thing. So, while there are still a bunch of other events that will get their own LO's, I decided to include all the random things together on a LO that covers the whole school year. I'll put this in my album somewhere in May or June of 2008. This LO is simple and not very attractive, but it makes me SO happy to have gotten 15 or 16 topics knocked out in one place.
Every speech I've heard at this school for the last 9 years has talked about the pillars of integral formation that form the basis of their educational model, and since this variety of photos covers all four of these aspects, I decided to use them on the LO. I printed the pillars from clipart and used alpha stickers to put the categories on them. I scanned the artwork and projects and notes I wanted to keep so I could print them in small sizes. I will still keep some of the originals tucked in behind the page in the page protector, but construction paper and pencil fade so the scans will preserve them better. The photos are all matted together on the two big mats which I used to make pockets to slide in big tags I made with the explanations of the photos on them.
