Journaling reads: "This is Ellis and Lamara Lee Wynn (circa 1970). Lamara Lee was my best friend growing up, from the time we were toddlers until we were teenagers. My daddy (E.P.) had lived with her grandparents (Mary and Ellis Wynn) in Fitzgerald, Georgia after he returned from WWII. So, our families had been friends for many years. As young children Lamara and I lived next door to each other (in Waycross, Georgia) and were very close. Over the years, both of our families moved, but we kept in touch and visited off and on. Eventually, we both married and moved farther apart, but still kept in touch through baby announcements and Christmas cards. I was so sad to learn of her death, due to a brain tumor, when we were in our mid-30’s. I am glad that I have so many wonderful memories of our times together as children. Journaled: April 30, 2011"
