Week 3 Round Robin challenge at Swirlydoos. I was inspired by so many things from the two pages I got to follow. The design was beautiful. There were two background papers layered and distressed, there was misting and masking and gorgeous florals. As usual I did move things around and added my fingerprint to this week's lift.
I used up the last bit of paper from Swirlydoo's May kit. I really wanted to try and create depth and dimension to this page. Rather than layering two backgrounds papers I decided to use this beautiful scalloped chipboard frame from Dusty Attic and cut a second background paper to go most of the way around it. I used pop dots to glue them down so that they came off of the page and created a shallow shadow box. Lots of techniques going here - crackle paint on the chipboard, I made the tag and painted the big Petaloo flowers. I pleated the lace to create additional dimension.
