From the bottom to the top of 10,023 foot high Haleakala a dormant volcano, is a one hour and 15 minute drive on the East side of Maui. On our way we saw several groups of mountain bikers careening their way down the numerous hairpin turns and switchbacks we were driving up. We did not make it to the summit as we had limited time and did not want to pay to get inside the National Park, only to have to turn around to drive back to our zipline adventure. On our way down we got stuck behind the groups of cyclists who were on their own adventure
