I love this photo..old barns have a certain kind of charm about them don't they?? I love how you scrapped this pic, especially the newspaper behind the pic AND I don't think your flowers are weird colours at all..:)

Kudos on another awesome lo. Very impressed with your idea to use the vintage newspaper to mat the photo - great idea. The photo is fantastic, I love old barns. I actually like the color of the flowers, they're a nice change from pinks and purples. Really like how you used the pearls to give flight to the butterflies. Tfs.
You really made this LO perfectly---this is a great example of what scrapbooking is all about - preserving memories and telling stories by pictures and design. TFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another hit! Love that soft paper and the butterflies. Really love how you used the newspaper to help tell the story. Great job on the flowers. How come I never find clearance items like that??? :o) Very, very pretty!
What an Awesome and Interesting story on this LO, Lynne!!!!!! .... See people go all over looking for this and here you have it right in your parents back yard!!!!! .... Excellent Excellent LO!!!!!! ..... Those flower's you got on clearance fit into this LO perfectly!!!!!! they look GREAT!!! .... Funny how that newspaper fascinated you, it's happened to us all. .... How far from you do your parents live? ..... You certainly did an Outstanding Job, Sweetie!!!!! .... Have a wonderful week!!! .... Elaine ;)
Love it! I LOVE shots like this too! The use of the newspaper is a cool touch - apparently it makes pretty good insulation too! I don't think the flowers are weird colors either - they are perfect for this layout. You did a great job here!
I love old barns and this one is really old. I like the idea of the newspaper for matting as I have seen old papers stuffed between logs in old houses. Cool.
wow Lynne, this is GREAT. love that you can preserve some your childhood memories with photos and creative scrapping. I hope you wrote the description on the back so future generations can enjoy your story as much as we did. TFS.
Wow. I love the story of the old barn.. and to be so old and still standing... with all these crazy storms and stuff we have these days. I love that you remember it and honored that memory. wow Newspapers on the walls. great job. Thank you for sharing that with us.
FABULOUS pic & LO - I see Mrs. Bean agrees, LOL. Love everything about this. There is something very alluring about old barns and buildings. Great memory to scrapbook.
Lynne, you did a great job on this. I had to come and see it as soon as I saw the title on my feed "The Old Barn." I love to look at older buildings, and even ones that are falling down, for some reason. I have lots of pictures of things like that. I love the distressed circle you created, but most of all, I love the newspaper matte and what it represents to you as one of your first memories of the place.
Your design is absolutely beautiful! I love, LOVE that photo!!!! . . .and the story behind it, especially about the newspaper! I really like how you added it to your page. And the "weird colors" of the prima flowers look awesome here!
oh boy great lil page you have created..and luv the foto of the barn bet the walls in the barn would have been able to tell a few stories glad to see you added that very cute lil dragonfly...a new beginning
Fabulous page and so great that you got a photo of the barn...I bet it bought back a lot of memories. I love those flowers, they are a lovely rich colour!!
This is really interesting. I love how you inked the newspaper - really ads to the aging of the barn and gives it the old feel. My mom took a picture of thier big old family barn and it is framed in her living room! What a nice way to scrap it!
I took this shot of the old haybarn in my parents' yard the last time we were out for a visit to BC,three years ago.The barn and the old house on the property date back to the late 1800s, and over the years people have often stopped to photograph it.Inked some newspaper for the matting here, as one of my first memories of the house there was old newspaper stuck on the log walls(for insulation I guess)They were from the 1920's and i found that fascinating(I was 10 at the time)The flowers are Prima-on clearance cuz they were kind of weird colours, but I liked them! Paper from Creative Memories and the rest from my stash...TFL!!
